WAAIBWS offers IB World Schools in West Africa the opportunity to be part of a vibrant, collaborative, and supportive network. Schools located within the West African region are eligible to join as Full Members, while IB schools from other regions are welcome to join as Associate Members.Both membership categories offer excellent value and provide access to a rich calendar of events, professional development opportunities, and a growing community of like-minded educators committed to excellence in IB education.
Benefits of WAAIBWS Membership
WAAIBWS membership runs from 1 September - 31 August. Renewal invoices are sent to existing members at the start of the academic year. New members are welcome to join WAAIBWS at any point during the academic year.

Membership Categories
Full Membership
Open to authorised IB schools in the UK and Ireland that offer the DP or multiple IB programmes.
Membership fees are waived on a pro bono basis for the first 12 months. Thereafter, fees are based on the total number of IB students in the school at the time of application or renewal.
CP Only Membership
Available to schools that offer the Careers-Related Programme and no other IB programmes.
Membership fees are waived on a pro bono basis for the first 12 months. Thereafter, fees are based on the total number of IB students in the school at the time of application or renewal.
PYP & MYP Only Membership
Open to schools that run either the PYP or MYP Programmes and no other IB programmes.
Membership fees are waived on a pro bono basis for the first 12 months. Thereafter, fees are based on the total number of IB students in the school at the time of application or renewal.
Associate Membership
Available to IB schools and colleges outside the UK and Ireland offering any of the IB programmes.
Membership fees are waived on a pro bono basis for the first 12 months. Thereafter, fees are based on the total number of IB students in the school at the time of application or renewal.
Candidate Membership
Open to schools going through the IB candidate phase.
Membership fees are waived on a pro bono basis for the first 12 months. Thereafter, fees are based on the total number of IB students in the school at the time of application or renewal.
